مشروع القطار الكهربائي السريع، والذي تصل تكلفته الإجمالية إلى نحو 360 مليار جنيه، كما تتكون شبكة القطار من 3 خطوط بطول 1810 كم.

الخط الأول من مشروع القطار الكهربائي السريع (العين السخنة، العلمين الجديدة، مرسى مطروح)، والذي تبلغ سرعته التصميمية نحو 250 كم/ ساعة للقطار، وتصل تكلفته الإجمالية نحو 142.7 مليار جنيه، ويشمل 21 محطة منها 8 محطات للنقل السريع و13 محطة إقليمية، وذلك بطول 660 كم، ومن المقرر الانتهاء منه خلال عامين.

محطات القطار السريع تضم (مرسى مطروح، الضبعة، العلمين، برج العرب، الإسكندرية، 6 أكتوبر، العاصمة الإدارية، العين السخنة)، بينما تشمل المحطات الإقليمية (رأس الحكمة، فوكة، سيدي عبد الرحمن، الحمام، العامرية، النوبارية، وادي النطرون، السادات، سفنكس، حدائق أكتوبر، جنوب الجيزة، حلوان، محمد نجيب).

الخط الثاني من مشروع القطار الكهربائي السريع، (السادس من أكتوبر، الأقصر، أسوان)، سرعته التصميمية تبلغ 250 كم/ ساعة، وتصل تكلفته الإجمالية نحو 174.8 مليار جنيه، ويشمل 28 محطة منها 9 محطات سريعة و 19 محطة إقليمية، وذلك بطول 850 كم.

محطات القطار السريع تضم (6 أكتوبر، بني سويف، المنيا، أسيوط، سوهاج، قنا، الأقصر، إدفو، أسوان)، بينما تشمل المحطات الإقليمية (شمال الفيوم، الواسطي، عدلي منصور، الفشن، بني مزار، سمالوط، ملوي، ديروط، منفلوط، أبوتيج، طما، أخميم، جرجا، نجع حمادي، قوص، إسنا، كلابشة، دراو، أسوان الجديدة).

الخط الثالث من مشروع القطار الكهربائي السريع، (الأقصر، قنا، الغردقة، سفاجا)، سرعته التصميمية تبلغ 250 كم/ ساعة، وتصل تكلفته الإجمالية نحو 42.5 مليار جنيه، ويشمل 7 محطات بواقع 3 محطات سريعة و 4 محطات إقليمية، وذلك بطول 300 كم.

محطات القطار السريع تضم (مطار الأقصر، الغردقة، سفاجا)، بينما تشمل المحطات الإقليمية (قوص، قنا، شرق سوهاج، سهل حشيش).

The express train stations include (6 October, Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Edfu, Aswan), while the regional stations include (North Fayoum, Al Wasti, Adly Mansour, Al Fashn, Bani Mazar, Samalut, Mallawi, Dayrut, Manfalut, Abu Tig, Tama, Akhmim, Gerga, Nag Hammadi, Qus, Esna, Kalabsha, Daraw, New Aswan).
The third line of the high-speed electric train project, (Luxor, Qena, Hurghada, Safaga), with a design speed of 250 km/h, and a total cost of about 42.5 billion pounds, and includes 7 stations, 3 express and 4 regional stations, with a length of 300 km. .
The express train stations include (Luxor Airport, Hurghada, and Safaga), while the regional stations include (Qus, Qena, East Sohag, Sahl Hasheesh).
